The Family Chore Wheel

Let physics decide who scrubs the toilet.

Chore charts die because someone has to be the enforcer. A wheel is neutral, dramatic, and impossible to argue with — kids will fight over who gets to spin it instead of fighting the result.

Show the prompt ▾
Build me an interactive artifact: a family chore wheel. Start with an editable list of family members (Mom, Dad, Riley, Sam as examples) and chores (dishes, vacuuming, bathroom, trash, laundry, pet duty). Show a big colorful wheel divided into chore slices — hitting Spin whirls it with a satisfying animation until it lands on a chore, which gets assigned to the next person in rotation so the split stays fair. Below the wheel, show a 'this week's assignments' board grouped by person. Include buttons to add or remove people and chores, a re-spin option, and a confetti burst when every chore is assigned. Keep everything in the app's own state — no login, no saving needed. Make it playful and bright like a game show, with buttons big enough for kids to smack.

You get: A spinnable wheel that hands out the week's chores plus a per-person assignments board underneath — the arguing gets outsourced to physics.

Your data: The wheel forgets everything when you close it, which is fine — spin fresh each week and screenshot the board for the fridge.

Remix it

  • Add difficulty points to each chore and a running scoreboard so the tough jobs earn more.
  • Let us mark chores done with a big green check and show a family completion streak.
  • Add a print-friendly view that formats this week's board as a clean chart for the fridge.
  • Make the wheel track this week's spins so nobody lands the same chore twice in a row.

Gift Idea Vault

The perfect gift you thought of in March, still findable in December.

You overhear the perfect gift hint in spring and by their birthday it has been replaced by panic and a gift card. Your notes app has seven lists named 'gifts??' and none of them help.

Show the prompt ▾
Create an interactive artifact: a gift idea vault for my family. Show a card per person — start with example people like Mom, brother Dan, and a niece — with their birthday, a short interests list, and a running list of gift ideas, each tagged with a rough price and a status (idea, bought, given). Let me add and edit people and ideas right in the app. Give every card a 'Brainstorm for me' button that asks Claude for five fresh gift suggestions based on that person's interests and what they have already received, which I can keep or dismiss with one tap. Add a countdown banner showing whose occasion is next. Keep everything in the app's state — no login. Style it like wrapping paper: warm colors, rounded cards, a little ribbon flourish on each one.

You get: A card-per-person vault with an AI brainstorm button that genuinely thinks up ideas — it works on the Free plan, and if you share it, each viewer's brainstorming bills their own Claude account, not yours.

Your data: Ideas last for the session — keep your master list going by asking Claude in the chat to bake updates into the artifact, or on Pro, publish it and ask for persistent storage so the vault survives between visits (unpublishing deletes it for good).

Remix it

  • Add a budget tracker per person so I can see what I have spent against a limit for each occasion.
  • Add a hint log where I jot things people mention wanting, and make the brainstorm button use it.
  • Give me a holiday dashboard view showing everyone's December ideas and statuses on one screen.
  • Add an export button that turns the whole vault into tidy text I can paste back in next time.
